Effects of color on space

Everyone likes colors such as green, blue, red, soil colors, etc. Color creates some effects with humans. Light color makes objects lighter and larger, while darker ones make objects smaller and heavier. While watching the nature of colors, color effects in objects around us can be realized. I thought nature was also a good teacher for interior designers. Homeowners have the freedom to choose colors for their interior wall, furniture colors, rug colors, interior cabinet colors, and so on.

Warm colors appear closer than they actually are, such as the glorious sunshine and sunset. Cool colors appear farther away from the actual, such as scattered blue light in the sky.

Cool colors are used where people want to be calm and relax. Warm colors are used where people need more energy like social places. These colors are more saturated and less bright and usually less pleasant which leads to calm.

The color effects  makes an important role in interior design. We can show a smaller space seem to be larger. These color effects can be changed the look of a narrow space as wider. We usually see colors with the surrounding elements or colors .Colors mostly used with combinations, contrast between those colors influences us psychologically.Light colors are best choice for energy efficiency ,if a ceiling is painted with light colors reflect more light than darker ones.

All the elements is this small space seem spacious becoz of white color blend with blue.

Mostly , designers color the ceiling of  a room  in white because it seems to be more height .Sometimes designers used darker colors in some buildings seems to be closer than actual. The color of the wall and elements of the room such as windows, doors, etc are in the same tone colors it will blend with one another, otherwise  they will be emphasized. While selecting the lighter tones for the wall ,floor, ceiling  and building elements makes the room more spacious.

Kitchen and restaurant designers realized that warm hues make the general population more hungry. Red, yellow and orange hues feel stimulated to eat and the hues for energized activities.
